This book is designed as an approachable student textbook with consistent elements (e.g., reflection questions, discussion questions) that work well in a classroom context.  The related titled The Social Change Model (Jossey-Bass, forthcoming 2017) is designed as a facilitator’s guide to provide leadership educators with a wealth of classroom/workshop activities, discussion and reflection questions, assignment suggestions, and additional resources such as video clips and supplementary readings. It also includes 2-3 case studies for students to consider the implications of applying all 8 elements of the social change model in a variety of contexts.Leadership educators continually seek appropriate assessment materials in their leadership programs. This revision includes rubrics for each of the elements of the model (the 7 Cs) for student self-assessment. Requests for teaching resources to support the social change model from the leadership educator audience are a constant at the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs, as are requests for relevant case studies to help students consider issues in applying the concepts.
